LG Mobiles
LG Mobile Phones is one of the many products of LG Group. The company is a South Korean conglomerate that has risen to the ranks of the top electronic manufacturers due to its aggressive expansion of their range of products.
Company History
LG stands for the literal English translation of the company’s name, which is Lucky Goldstar. The company has been through a lot of name changes over its many years of existence since its inception in 1947. Its original Korean name translates to Goldstar. Previously called “Happy, Happy, Good Times”, it was a brand popular in Japan and in the surrounding countries. Currently, the company officially uses LG, which stands for heir tagline, Life’s Good. This is the basis of their recent marketing campaign that stretches beyond Asia.
The company has dabbled in the manufacturing of many products before coming up with the well-received LG Mobile Phones. Aside from electronics and communication, the Korean conglomerate operates a subsidiary, LG Chem that focuses on petrochemicals. But it is the LG Mobile Phone that has captured the general public’s interest especially with the inexpensive price range that LG introduced specifically in the Asian market.
Mobile Technology
LG mobile phones are relatively new to the market, as the company still focuses on other consumer electronics. However, its handsets are fast gaining ground in the telecommunications market, especially among the younger generation. Its expertise in internal electronics has allowed it to create fast and efficient systems to match its stylish exteriors. Since it’s not among the big names in mobile technology, the market is still pretty small, but the friendly prices and decent technology applications make it a promising choice for new mobile phone owners.
There aren’t many models in the line of LG mobile phones, but it’s clear that they are targeting the young markets with their slim and sleek phone bodies. Their phones range from basic candybar form factors to the decidedly modern large-screen, slide-up and clamshell models, and colors from elegant black to bright, youthful pink. A feature set covering everything from basic call and text to video calling and GPS also makes LG mobile phones a good choice for those looking for an all-around handset at a pocket-friendly price. Although they’re still behind big players like Nokia and Sony Ericsson, LG mobile phones may well achieve the same status.
