Panasonic Mobiles
Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. is the company behind the brand name, Panasonic. Known for its DVD recorders and players, portable CD, analog tape decks and home stereo equipment, plasma and LCD display panels, Blu-ray Disc players, camcorders, telephones, microwave ovens, shavers, projectors, digital cameras, batteries, and even laptop computers. Of course, at the back end products such as electronic components and semiconductors are also being manufactured by Japan’s leading electronic companies.
Company History
“Pan” which means “all” and “sonic”, referring to “sound” succinctly describes the first thrust of the company which is to focus on audio equipment. It was established in 1918. Panasonic has since delved into other areas including its Panasonic Mobile Phones.
In 1931, the company began to make radios and the following year purchased patents essential to the manufacture of radios. The company shared the information only with makers from Japan. This is Panasonic’s contribution to the further development of the electronics industry in heir country.
Today, the brand Panasonic, and recently taken on as the Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. official company name is actively pursuing its goal which is to promote its slogan, “Panasonic. Ideas for Life.”
Mobile Technology
Panasonic applies years of innovation in the electronics industry to its line of mobile phones, which offer many of the same features as those of market leaders Nokia and Sony Ericsson. One look at the feature set of its most popular handsets shows that Panasonic mobile phones are targeting a large market. From basic voice calls to video calls and high-resolution imaging, its phones offer everything a user could look for. Audio and video quality are consistent throughout its products, which is quite expected as the company leads the market in AV equipment.
Although still far behind in terms of overall sales, Panasonic mobile phones continue to deliver in terms of performance quality. Style-wise, one can see that Panasonic is putting in some effort to match the sleek, modern forms popular with younger mobile phone users, while sticking to its high standards of performance. It could certainly use some design improvements, but it certainly doesn’t have any problems keeping up with modern cell phone technologies. If you’re willing to sacrifice sleekness and a well-known stamp for outstanding quality, Panasonic mobile phones are a good choice for you.
