Plan Your Usage To Get Better Value
Friday November 21, 2008
Mobiles these days offer many different communication offers, 3G mobiles in particular. With the greater number of communication options, it can become difficult to figure out what the most economical way to get in contact with someone could be. This can lead to higher costs for using your mobiles, but a little time planning before you communicate can potentially save you a substantial amount of money.
The first step is to think about what you intend to do and who needs to be contacted. If you are just confirming something with a friend, does the friend have a phone on the same network that would allow you to use bonus credit? Are you planning a party and need to contact multiple people?
Next, what mobile phone technologies are available to you, and what provides the best value on the mobile phone plans that you use? Certain communication options are better suited to certain communication goals. In terms of planning a party, for instance, you may find it is preferable to send an SMS or an email out to everybody, depending on which will be better value or which you have access to.
Finally, if you are sending a written message, read what you have written to identify any areas that could lead to confusion in order to minimise the need to make back and forth exchanges. If you sent it to many people, do not reply to responses immediately. Wait to see if multiple people have the same question so that you may choose the most economical message service again.
